Team LCR Honda is back for MotoGP™ 2020

July 15, 2020

As you know, 2020 has been a crazy year with one trying round of events after the other. A major blow to spectators around the world this year was that all live sports had to be postponed, including the MotoGP™ 2020. Better news is here because MotoGP™ is Back!

“It’s been a difficult time for all of us. We’ve all had our own races to ride, but how many times have we fought against adversity? Coming back from the impossible is what we do best.”

For the second year running, Sena is joining the LCR Honda Team as they hit the global Grand Prix stage. The LCR Team was established in 1996 by Italian rider Lucio Cecchinello. Starting with just two mechanics and one van, LCR went on to win Best Independent Team in 2016 and has now seen 84 podiums, 24 victories, and 26 pole positions. As a former champion 125cc rider, Lucio Cecchinello built LCR on the foundation of 125cc bikes. The team raced also in the 250cc class from 2002 to 2005 and has competed in the MotoGP™ class since 2006.

Cal Crutchlow Cockpit Sena

Finally set to race the 2020 MotoGP™ season, Sena is proud to sponsor LCR’s MotoGP™ World Championship rider Cal Crutchlow. Born in Coventry, England, in 1985, Cal had originally focused on a career in football before following in his father’s footsteps to take up residence on two wheels. A natural, Crutchlow made his race debut in the UK Junior Challenge just a week after receiving his first bike. Cal stepped onto the MotoGP™ podium for the first time in 2011. No stranger to the rain, he then went on to claim victory on a wet track in the 2016 Czech Republic MotoGP™, becoming the first British person to win a premier class race in 35 years. This year he is donning the Sena logo on the helm of his Honda RC213V with 6-speed seamless transmission, 1000cc liquid-cooled V4, and Öhlins suspension.

Rev your engines and get ready for Live Sports to hit the screen once more. The premier class season starts on Circuito de Jerez in Spain on Wednesday, July 15th.
