Frequently Asked Questions
Powering On and Off
To power on the headset, press and hold the (+) Button and the
(-) Button for 1 second. To power off the headset, tap the (+) Button
and the (-) Button.
Charging
The headset will be fully charged in about 3 hours. The charging time
may vary depending on the charging method.
Volume Adjustment
You can raise or lower the volume by tapping the (+) Button or the
(-) Button. Volume is set and maintained independently at different
levels for each audio source, even when the headset is rebooted.
Initially Pairing the Headset
The headset will automatically enter the phone pairing mode when you
initially turn on the headset or in the following situation:
• Rebooting after executing Factory Reset
1. Press and hold the (+) Button and (-) Button for 1 second.
2. You will hear a voice prompt, “Phone pairing”.
3. Search for Bluetooth devices on your mobile phone. Select Sena
Snowtalk 2 in the list of devices detected.
4. If your mobile phone asks for a PIN, enter 0000.
Pairing When the Headset Is Turned On
1. While the headset is turned on, press and hold the (R) Button for
10 seconds.
2. You will hear a voice prompt, “Phone pairing”.
3. Search for Bluetooth devices on your mobile phone. Select Sena
Snowtalk 2 in the list of devices detected.
4. If your mobile phone asks for a PIN, enter 0000.
Pairing When the Headset Is Turned Off
1. While the headset is turned off, press and hold the (+) Button and
(-) Button for 5 seconds.
2. You will hear a voice prompt, “Phone pairing”.
3. Search for Bluetooth devices on your mobile phone. Select Sena
Snowtalk 2 in the list of devices detected.
4. If your mobile phone asks for a PIN, enter 0000.
Mobile Phone Call Making and Answering
1. When you have an incoming call, simply tap the (R) Button to answer
the call.
2. To end a call, press the (R) Button for 2 seconds, or wait for the
called person to end the call.
3. To reject a call, press the (R) Button for 2 seconds while the
phone is ringing.
4. There are several ways to make a phone call:
• Enter numbers on your mobile phone’s keypad and make a call.
Then the call is automatically transferred to the headset.
• In stand-by mode, press the (R) Button for 3 seconds, to activate
the voice dialing of your mobile phone. For this, the voice dialing
function must be available on the mobile phone. Refer to your
mobile phone manual for further instruction.
Bluetooth Stereo Music
1. To play or pause music, press and hold the (R) Button for
1 second.
2. To track forward or track back, press and hold the (+) Button or
the (-) Button for 1 second.
Pairing with Other Headsets for Intercom Conversation
The headset can be paired with up to three other headsets for
Bluetooth intercom conversation.
1. Press and hold the (R) Button of the headset A and B for
5 seconds until red LEDs of the both units start to flash rapidly.
2. Simply tap the (R) Button of any one of the two headsets A and
B, and wait until the LEDs of both headsets turn to blue and
intercom connection is automatically established.
3. You can make other pairings between headsets A and C, and
between headsets A and D by following the same procedure as
above.
4. The intercom pairing queue is ‘Last-Come, First-Served’. If a
headset has multiple paired headsets for intercom conversations,
the last paired headset is set as first intercom friend. The
previous intercom friend becomes second intercom friend, and
third intercom friend.
Starting Two-Way Intercom
You can start an intercom conversation with one of any intercom
friends by tapping the (R) Button: single tap to intercom with the first
intercom friend, double tap to intercom with the second intercom
friend, and triple tap to intercom with the third intercom friend.
Ending Two-Way Intercom
You can end an intercom conversation with one of any intercom friends
by tapping the (R) Button: single tap to end intercom with the first
intercom friend, double tap to end intercom with the second intercom
friend, and triple tap to end intercom with the third intercom friend.
Group Intercom allows you to instantly create a multi-way
conference intercom with three other most recently paired headsets.
1. Go through intercom pairing with up to three headsets you want
to have Group Intercom with.
2. Tap the (R) Button and (+) Button to begin Group Intercom.
The LED will flash purple.
3. To terminate Group Intercom, press and hold the (R) Button for
1 second during Group Intercom.
FIRMWARE UPGRADE
The headset supports firmware upgrades. You can update firmware
using the Sena Device Manager. Please visit Sena Bluetooth website
at www.sena.com to check the latest software downloads.
Fault Reset
When the headset is not working properly, you can easily reset the
unit:
1. Locate the pin-hole reset button at the back of the right speaker.
2. Gently insert a paper clip into the hole and press and Fault Reset
Button with light pressure.
Factory Reset
To erase all of your settings and start fresh, the headset can be
restored to factory default settings.
1. Press and hold the (R) Button for 15 seconds until you hear a
voice prompt, “Factory Reset”.
2. Tap the (R) Button to confirm reset, the headset automatically
restores the default settings and turns off.
Here’s how to use Sena's Smart Intercom Pairing feature to make pairing your SNOWTALK 2 with your friends easier:
Setup
A QR code is required to pair your SNOWTALK 2 to your friends. To create a QR code, pair your Bluetooth system to your iPhone or Android smartphone (please refer to the User's Guide for more details on pairing the SNOWTALK 2 to your smartphone). Next, open the Sena Outdoor App on your iPhone or Android smartphone.
Next, tap on the "Smart Intercom Pairing" button. The app will create a QR code for your SNOWTALK 2.
Pairing
You will need to scan the QR code on your friend's smartphone to pair your SNOWTALK 2 to your friend. Tap the "Add" button on the app to use your smartphone's camera to scan the QR code on your friend's smartphone.
When your friend's QR code has been scanned, tap the "Confirm" button to pair your SNOWTALK 2 to your friend. Repeat these steps to pair your SNOWTALK 2 to your other friends.
Select your friend's headset on the app for a guide on how to start and stop an intercom conversation with them.
Other Functions of Smart Intercom Pairing
Along with easily pairing your headset to your friends, Smart Intercom Pairing allows you to change the name of your friend’s headset for easy recognition, change the order of your friends on your list, and remove your friends from your list.
- Change Your Friend’s Name
Tap the pencil icon on the right side of the app to change the name of your friend’s headset and tap the “OK” button when finished.
- Change the Order of Your Friends
Tap the “Edit” button to make changes to your list. Next, tap on the name of your friend’s headset to select it. You can use the up and down arrows to move them one spot higher or lower or you can use the double up and down arrows to move them to the top or bottom of the list. Press the return arrow in the bottom left to save the changes to the order on your list.
- Remove a Friend
Tap the “Edit” button to make changes to your list. Next, tap on the name of your friend’s headset to select it. Next, tap the trash can icon in the bottom right of the app to remove your friend. Press the return arrow in the bottom left to save the changes to your list. Note: The app will update the list on your SNOWTALK 2 but it will not be updated on your friend’s list which will cause an error message when your friend attempts to connect to your SNOWTALK 2.
