Our team has rounded up the best of the best when it comes to top-of-the-line and must have cycling accessories. Whether you’re an experienced cyclist, or brand new to the sport of cycling, the following gadgets and accessories are sure to amp up your ride.
Sena is the industry leader in providing advanced Bluetooth technologies to the motorcycle and powersports arena, and they are now applying this technology to the sport of cycling. This helmet does it all. You can chat with riding companions via Bluetooth intercom, take and make phone calls, listen to turn-by-turn GPS navigation, stream music from your smartphone, and even record video—all on Sena’s new cycling helmet. The Sena smart helmet for cycling takes bike technology to a whole new level and is certainly one of the best bike gadgets on the market.
The Pro Bike Tools CO2 Inflator is a must for any and all rides. There are a lot of mini bike pumps and CO2 cartridges on the market but this one is sleek and compact, offering extremely fast and reliable tire inflation on the go. It’s small enough to store in your bike’s saddle bag or even in your cycling jersey pocket. The pocket-sized inflator is conveniently compatible with any threaded CO2 cartridge and is definitely one cycling accessory you won’t want to leave home without.
These LED cycling gloves are another must on our list of top cycling gear. The comfortable spandex gloves are equipped with LED’s rated at 54 lumens and are designed to signal to vehicles or other cyclists when you will be making a turn. Safety gear is key, and since it is highly recommended that all cyclist wear some sort of hand protection while riding anyways, why not wear a pair of gloves that will keep you safe in all conditions? These gloves are especially handy at night when cycling visibility is at its lowest. The gloves come with 2 sets of rechargeable batteries and are available for just under $75 on Amazon.
Next up is a new solid rubber bicycle tire by Tannus. No one likes a flat tire, these new bicycle tires by Tannus are nearly indestructable. Although these tires are mainly geared for commuters, we still reccomend giving them a shot, especially if your commute is riddled with small thorns and other sharp debris that seem to always puncture your tires.
Water bottles are a cycling necessity that are often overlooked. We have tried many bottles over the years but this one really stood out. Gold Gulp’s BPA free 18 oz. Triton eco friendly water bottle keeps your water cold throughout your entire ride and you get to play a part in saving the environment with every use. For just how insulated this bottle is it is extremely lightweight and easy to take along on any ride long or short.
Phone holsters are a must especially when you’re on a newer route using navigation, listening to music, or need to be able to simply answer the phone. One of our favorites phone accessories this year is definitely the Delta Cycle Smartphone Caddy, this thing can bear the element and is ready to tag along on any ride. The phone mount even comes with a waterproof bag to keep any of your devices in.
Lastly, is our current favorite bicycle repair kit. Park Tools has a diverse range of repair kits ranging from travel size to professional level kits with all of the bells and whistles. We are loving their Home Mechanic Starter Tool Kit. The kit is small enough to throw in the car for a race or training, but comes equipped with basically all of the tools you will ever need,
