RIDE CONNECTED STORIES EPISODE 4: ON AN ADVENTURE FOR ART
May 22, 2019
The Ride Connected series connects fellow riders with personal stories on a shared interest: the reasons we took up the bars and started riding. Today's story is brought to us by a skateboarding and painting enthusiast whose passions led to an enjoyment in motorcycle riding.
Tomas Pajdlhauser had always been enticed by adventure and art. Known as "Captain Tom" in the skateboarding community, Tom has been able to appreciate the natural world and the canvas it offers. He sketches artworks of his adventure to memorialize his times experiencing it and hopes to share it with the world.
One day, he and a friend decided to take a weekend motorcycle course. It only took sitting down and turning it on to realize that this was the right fit for him. With his own set of wheels, Tom was now able to go on off-the-beaten path adventures, traveling longer distances and seeing more places to sketch.
Recently, Tom participated in the OG Moto Show in Los Angeles. This event served as an opportunity to show his artwork to a larger scale of motorcyclists. Through his adventures, Tom has discovered that motorcyclist all share the same passion of riding free and are generally a tightly knit family. He feels that riding has given him a newfound sense of freedom as he continues to do the activities that he enjoys.
As the Captain puts it, "Find the things that you're good at, and combine it with the things that you absolutely love doing."
