Bluetooth Serial Adapter replaces RS-232 Serial Cables -
Parani-SD
SENA is pleased to introduce an upcoming Bluetooth Serial
product line, Parani-SD Series, designed to replace RS-232
serial cables with wireless connectivity with advanced options
when interconnecting peripheral devices. The Parani-SD Series
supports features such as Bluetooth 1.2 stack, Software-free
configuration support, and Internal Rechargeable battery.
The Parani-SD series has strength of Bluetooth 1.2 Protocol
Stack that includes Adaptive Frequency-hopping spread spectrum
(AFH), which improves resistance to radio frequency
interference by avoiding using crowded frequencies in the
hopping sequence. In addition, the Parani-SD series probes and
connects to serial devices at a faster rate.
The Parani-SD series powers Software-free configuration support
via an external dip-switch. Using this switch, serial port
parameters can be easily configured without host computer. In
addition, the unit has a Pairing button that facilitates instant
configuration of an automatic connection between two Parani-SD
devices without host computer. Once the pair is established,
communication between the two Parani-SD devices should be
relatively seamless. Further, the unit has an internal
Rechargeable battery that allows it to be used in situations
where power is a problem.
With no
software required, the Parani-SD Bluetooth serial adapter is
intended for long-range wireless serial communications. Transmit
range can be extended up to 1 kilometer when using the optional
patch antenna.
