KPN: Secure Remote management Solution for Telco devices
KPN ( www.kpn.com),
the largest telecommunications provider in Holland, is using
the PS110 Serial Device Server to manage their Telco equipment
such as PABXen, routers, and switches over the network by an
XDSL connection.
Earlier, KPN used to manage this equipment by way of Telephone
lines from management station.
As today's computing environment becomes increasingly complex
and is subjected to ongoing change, KPN began looking to add
network connectivity to their Telco devices. They also demand
strong security features. With these requirements in mind, the
SENA Business Partner in Netherlands, AVE ( www.ave-nl.com),
suggested a migration to the PS110.
KPN tested their devices with PS110 and
now pleased with remote management features; and especially
SSL feature that facilitated secure connection between Telco
devices and management station, over which any amount of data
can be sent securely. |
